Max Liberatori (b. 1992, Easton, PA) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and filmmaker based in the U.S. With a background in VFX, animation, and graphic design, his current practice centers on painting, where he applies an experimental, cinematic sensibility to the medium.
Liberatori’s work explores themes of mysticism, the afterlife, and speculative landscapes, often blurring the boundaries between figuration and abstraction. Using oil on unconventional supports such as burlap, he creates richly textured, atmospheric compositions that evoke both the visceral and the otherworldly.
