Max Liberatori. Contemporary visual artist.
Max Liberatori (b. 1992, easton, PA) is a filmmaker & visual artist. His multidisciplinary practice extends beyond filmmaking to include painting, vfx/animation, graphic design, restorative masonry. MAX HAS BEEN MAKING FILMS SINCE HE WAS A KID. However, FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS HE HAS been focused more on painting.
MAX's highly experimental and unorthodox approach to his filmic work has spilled over into his painting practices. He is drawn to creating visceral and intriguing compositions utilizing oil paint on a variety of supports, such a burlap; to create thought provoking artwork that blurs the line between figuration and abstraction. Max is frequently drawn to themes such as - mystical experiences, the after life, exotic science fiction inspired landscapes. He is actively in pursuit of opportunities to share his work with a wider audience and he is open for collaborations with patrons, galleries, and his peers.
